ALLEN, Mary Allen - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary Allen, age 83, the last surviving sister of Elijah Allen, 711 Crocket St, died Wednesday Sept 6 at her home in Brownstown, Ill. She suffered a broken hip six years and and had been in failing health since that time. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, Frank Allen, 3 daughters, a son and a brother, Elijah Allen of Covington. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters. Funeral seravices were held Saturday, Sept 9 in Brownstown. Mrs. Elijah Allen, her son-iin-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Max Layton and other daughter, Mrs. Donald (Lura) Marr, Covington, attended the funeral services. Mr. Allen's health prevented him from attending his sister's rites.
